Job Description

  • Prepare monthly financial report forms in accordance with executed sub-project documents.
  • Generate monthly reporting and budgets, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial guidelines.
  • Enter financial data into Excel spreadsheets and Sage 300 Software.
  • Utilize sound accounting skills to ensure accurate financial record-keeping and reporting.
  • Apply knowledge of financial systems and processes to support financial operations.
  • Monitor financial transactions, identifying discrepancies and taking appropriate corrective actions in review of all categories of payments (vendors, consultants, ad-hoc staff, sub-awardee liquidations, etc.)
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and budgets.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to transfer knowledge into operational plans.
  • Foster sustainable buy-in by engaging clients in the financial decision-making process.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Articulate financial information clearly and positively to facilitate understanding.
  • Ensure all financial documents are filed appropriately.
  • Ensure timely scanning of vouchers and uploading on ECEWS Finance Folder in OneDrive
  • Ensure proper documentation, stamping, labelling, photocopies, and filing of all financial documents.
  • Collect credit tax receipts from Zenith Bank for filing in Finance Unit
  • Upload of all approved transactions
  • Other roles as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Recruitment Standard

  • Holds a University Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or other related social sciences.
  • Possess 2-3 years of experience with administrative and secretarial skills.
  • Demonstrate strong accounting skills and familiarity with financial management principles.
  • Have experience working with large complex organizations; familiarity with international NGOs is preferred.
  • Exhibit proven experience in transferring knowledge into operational plans and collaborating with clients.
  • Proficient in using computerized financial information systems and MS Excel.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Familiarity with Donor-funded programs and non-governmental organizations in Nigeria.
